Exam Notes

Broad aromatic expression: forest floor, scrubland, pine needles, and subtle fennel notes, followed by black fruits (blackberry, blueberry), black plum, and hints of liquorice.

On the palate, there are notes of chocolate, mushroom/truffle, and a touch of smokiness, showing excellent integration of oak. Monumental on the palate, with multiple layers delivering fascinating complexity. Refined tannins combine with good acidity (subtle but present), enhancing the impressive structure.

An eminently gastronomic wine with great ageing potential.
