Aliestre The Very First Day is a premium wine crafted from the indigenous Portuguese grape varieties Alicante Bouschet and Touriga Nacional, together with the noble Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is aged for 15 to 18 months in French oak barrels, 30% of which are new, allowing it to develop remarkable depth and richness of flavour. Pronounced notes of cassis and blackberry are supported by hints of dark spices, reminiscent of mocha and black liquorice. Fine tannins carry the flavours through to a long, elegant finish.
