Aliestre The Very First Day is a premium wine made from the original Portuguese grape varieties Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional, and the noble Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine ages for 15 to 18 months in French oak barrels, 30% of which are new – enough time to develop a remarkable richness of flavor and depth. Pronounced notes of cassis and blackberry are supported by notes of dark spices reminiscent of mocha and black licorice. Fine tannins lead all the flavors to a long finish.
